AI_da_ELENA, and me...

Some months ago I stumbled across some fine Ai works on Kling Ai

One of the very first which took my attention was a piece posted by “Ai_da_Elena”.

At that time I knew very little about how Kling worked for sharing, but I surfed through

pages by many Ai artists and I kept coming back to this page by “Ai _da_ELENA”.

One of the pieces which totally bowled me over was about a block of high rise housing flats in Russia.

It was very different from creations by so many Ai creators. It was not glossy or pretty, it was complex.

It’s style was documentary realism and it had a strong storyline.

I shared it with some of my friends and they too were just as gobsmacked as I was.

Here’s the piece I’m referring to, "HIGH RISE":

Some of my friends who are extremely sceptical about AI were also astonished

by the work Elena had created. I tried to contact Elena via Kling Ai's messaging

but it took a while to make a connection.

I was also intrigued by some of her posts which were sometimes just still images.

Some were short movie clips often only 5 or 10 secs long.

Here are some of Elena's still images which caught my eye:

I called this image "BRIDAL DROID"

I called this image "Asian Droid"

Elena's prompt for this Droid was this simple:

A robotic Asian fashion model with elongated, distorted features and
unsettling golden makeup poses in a monochromatic dreamscape,

As you can see, I have a keen interest in droids of various types.

But there were also a couple of short movie clips:

I called this one: Lumi

Elena’s prompt for LUMI read:

With a subtle turn, the woman's gown catches the light, creating a ripple of

sparkles that mirror the tree's decorations.

This next clip featured a beautiful woman in a black dress playing
a Red Grand Piano.

So I called it RED PIANO.

Another image of Elena's which made a huge impression on me
was this one called Black Swan

Then I found a short movie clip from the same still image:

Elena's prompt for this piece:

The camera orbits around the woman as she tilts her head against the glossy black bird, her

feathered garment shifting subtly with each whispered word. Her red lips tremble slightly

while delivering the tragic verse, dark eyeshadow intensifying her piercing gaze against the

moody gradient background. The bird's textured feathers catch faint light as it remains

motionless near her cheek. She hears the phrase:

"Smiles, tears, of all my life; and, if God choose, I shall but love thee better after death".

At some stage I noticed that Kling allowed items to be re-created.

I didn't know what the “rules” were, so I wrote to Elena asking if she would

mind me recreating from Red Piano and the Asian Droid.

Elena’s response was great! She was surprised that I was asking for permission.

I guess it was normal for people to just recreate when that button was displayed.

I told her I was a bit old fashioned.

Given Elena's positive response I created this short piece with two of her images:

Für Elena

Making that piece was not an easy process as I was just

learning to use Kling Ai, but I loved working through it

and Elena gave me encouragement for what I had achieved.

Then I went on to try to do something with Bridal Droid and Lumi

I also selected two other stills which I named “Slender” and "Purple Dress".

My first attempt was just a shot of Bridal Droid striding through a shopping mall:

Elena asked me “Where is Bride Droid going?”

I said: “She's going to buy a new dress”.

But I had no idea what would follow from that ridiculous off-the-cuff statement.

Then I came up with this short piece:

“Bride Droid Goes Shopping”:

So you see Elena and I have formed an open-ended sort ofcollaboration.

A few weeks ago Elena surprised me with this unexpected statement:

“I think it’s time for us to do a joint work!”

I jumped at her offer, but because she is busy with so many projects I guess

our proposed joint work is still sitting on the backburner.

I wonder what it will be?
