Alexandra Kipourgos
In our new group blog I like to encourage members to offer work and to participate on their own terms. I'm already doing this with a number of members who have heard from me recently and I've asked them to say something about themselves and their work.
I've taken the following from Alexandra's web page:
"Alexandra was born in Greece. In 1972 her family migrated to Australia where she started cultivating her passion for figurative arts."
I won't go on quoting from this brief description given on her web page, suffice to say that Alexandra has created a huge body of work in different modes from B&W and Colour photography, Digital Artwork and Painting.
At this time Alexandra is busy with archiving and domestic activity, as per this note:
I will soon post some other examples of Alexandra's fine work.

Very interesting image and exceptional quality from what I can see here. There are so many fine artists most of us have never heard of! I had never heard of Alexandra before now so glad you bought her to our attention, Peter.

DeleteFascinating art work ! And hello from a fellow Greek (though I was born in Oz) ....
ReplyDeleteHello Bill, thank you ! I lived 30 years in Melbourne - It's great o have two places to call home ! I wish they were not so far apart
DeleteYes, it gets a bit hard to do, coming and going. I did it from 2008 to 2017, I spent half my time in Greece, half in Australia. Two summers each year ! Now my wife and I are more settled in Australia, with grandchildren, etc.
